If you love the cinema, you’re in luck because as of a couple of days ago, the official application from Cinemania has been available for iPhone and Android. It has taken several months of hard work, but we have finally managed to launch this complete application, where you will not only find all the information relating to the cinema (listings, movies, series, etc), but also be able to buy the tickets for your favorite movies.
In the main section of the application, at a glance you will be able to see the premieres of the listings in Spain together with the latest news occurring in the world of cinema. If we click on the top left button from this screen, the application’s main menu will be displayed which, thanks to its lateral layout, will be accessible from all screens, allowing for a quick navigation through different sections.
As can be seen on the previous image, these are the sectionsfound on the application:
- Cover: contains a carousel where you can view the most recently opened listings as well as the latest news.
- Movies: This section contains all the information relating to the movies that are showing. These movies can be filtered both by the date of their release as well as by their genre. It is also possible to check what movies will be opening soon.
- News: as the name indicates, here you will find all the news about the cinema world. Furthermore, once we access a news item, we can share on various social networks (Facebook, Twitter, mail, etc). For those who find it a little more difficult to read lengthy texts on their mobile, there is a zoom button with which you can increase or reduce the font size of the text.
- Series: This application also has a section for those who are addicted to television series. Videos, news, rumors, blogs, etc. Everything related to the world of television series can be found on this section.
- Blogs: here you will be able to visit and read all the blogs from Cinemania. If you want to be up to date on what your favorite bloggers are writing, you can consult this section just like you would consult it from the Cinemania webpage.
- Magazine:The last, although certainly not the least important, section, is that which refers to the Cinemania Magazine. Even though we are in the digital age, many people continue to enjoy the feel of paper. So, if you want to see what the front cover of this month’s magazine looks like, or even read a small summary of the content of same, you will be able to do both in this section, and thus determine if you really want to purchase the magazine.
Other than the main sections of the applications, the movie chip is also worth mentioning. Once you have selected a movie, whether from the Front Cover or Movies section, we can access this screen and find all the detailed information for that movie.
As the previous images show, on the upper part of the chip you can see the movie poster, along with important information such as the movie’s title, opening date, recommended age, duration, genre and a grade or a score for the movie. After this information, in the middle portion, there is a bar with buttons were we can see other interesting information such as the movie’s trailer, the chip with a summary of the actors who appear in it, the reviews from critics and, on the fourth screen, the option to purchase tickets. On theTickets tab, you can see the closest movie theaters where this movie is playing, thanks to the data provided by the mobile’s GPS. Once the movie theater has been selected, you can access a new screen to continue purchasing the tickets.
To make the purchase, you will have to choose the number of tickets that you want, the showing time, and in case the session is numbered, indicate the seats that you want. Once you have confirmed this information as well as your contact information, you will move on to the payment screen, where you will enter your credit card information.
